23079 Meyer SOS Adapter for 2015 + Dodge Ram

This is a Meyer SOS Dodge Ram Adapter 23079, This is spliced and soldered into the Dodge blunt wire harness under the fuse block. This is used on the 2015 and later 2500-5500 trucks , ( These have the spice in plow wires under the hood ) also fits the 2021 and later 1500 Dodge ram trucks. 

Meyer also had a 23061 that can be used in place of this harness if the 23079 is not available for your Ram but can not use the blunt wires the 23061 would require to splice into the Dodge light wiring. . 

Down below is some more information on the SOS wiring and module.

The Original SOS plow packages came with this 23056 installed. In 2021 they they changed the way it is done. They now have adapters for some trucks and other still need this but it sold separate. 

Light Module 23056 can be installed to prevent the plow’s parking lights from illuminating when the
vehicle’s brake is depressed.
Step1: Connect the light module in-line with the plow light connectors. Each connector is marked as
Driver Side and Passenger Side. Ensure the cables and connections are routed to prevent snagging. See
Figure 2.
Step 2: Connect the RED terminal to the post of the motor solenoid. Once fastened, cover the terminal
with the red rubber sleeve for protection from the elements. See Figure 3.
Step 3: Mount the light module to the lift frame. It is recommend to mount on the cross bar on the
lower half of the lift frame with the light module facing the vehicle. This will prevent the light module
from interfering with the hydraulic cover

Starting October 2021, black iron packages will no longer include the 23056 module. It will instead be recommended
per vehicle on Meyer’s EZ Match Vehicle Configurator, along with other OEM harnesses, as shown below.
The 23056 is no longer needed on newer model vehicles as Meyer has begun to offer OEM vehicle specific harnesses.
