Material Monitoring

Set your desired spread rate and let the system handle the rest. The control actively monitors vehicle speed through the OBD2 port to maintain the set rate you put in, This will then spread as you drive to the speed you are moving it will stop as you stop, and if you leave the lot and hit a speed around 45 it will also shup off if you forgot. If you are going to fast or to slow to be able to put down the rate you want it alerts the operator if adjustments are needed:

• Displays an “S” if driving too slow.

• Displays an “F” if driving too fast.

It also keeps a running total of material spread, which can be logged for record-keeping or reporting. When you are done with that job manually write down the amount of material you spread and you are ready to zero it out for the next job. 

No Subscription , No Monthly fees just a simple way to track your salt usage. When you are done and you unload the remained back into the pile it will track that too. 

Familiar Control Layout

With a layout similar to the legacy adjustable rate hopper spreader control from Western Products, your team will feel at home right away. The new Auto Speed Control function can be engaged or disengaged by pressing the AUTO button. It’s designed to make the transition seamless for de-icing specialists. Your standard controller has 4 buttons across the top this now has 6 for the added features, They also improved the knobs, They have a better feel when turning them as well as secured to the controller better than the standard version.

Direct Vehicle Link

The system connects to your vehicle’s OBD-II port, allowing real-time adjustment of material flow based on vehicle speed. This minimizes material waste, prevents excess buildup at stops, and automatically shuts off spreading above 45 mph, eliminating unwanted discharge between sites. The ObD2 Cable comes with as well as a Y harness if you are using the OBD2 for another use already. 

Fleet Compatibility

The Auto Speed Control is compatible with WESTERN/Fisher/Snowex hoppers equipped with FLEET FLEX electrical systems, going back to model year 2016. This allows for a cost-effective upgrade to automatic spread rate control without the need to purchase new hopper spreaders. Easy way to tell is your controller will have the 4 white buttons across the top if it is fleet flex.

Quick Installation:

1. Install a new spreader wiring harness or use an existing one from a compatible spreader.

2. Connect the spreader wiring harness to the Auto Speed Control.

3. Mount the control using the provided bracket and hardware.

4. Route and secure wiring as needed.
