Fisher 8' 1.8 Yd Electric Poly-Caster Hopper Salt Spreader

This is a new 8' 1.8 Cu. Yd. Poly-Caster Spreader.

Winter may take you by surprise, but it's never a match for Fisher's Poly-Caster salt spreader. This spreader comes with a solid cover to protect your spreading material with molded grooves for water runoff. When open, it functions as spill guards. A top screen comes standard, as well as built-in tie down straps for strapping the unit to the truck and a Center High-Mounted Stop Light (CHMSL) to meet FMVSS requirements.

The hopper is double-walled and 100% polyethylene meaning it will not corrode no matter what spreading material you decide to use. The 16 1/2" conveyor is one of the largest in the salt spreader industry and is made of stainless steel. The spinner is 15 1/2" in diameter capable of throwing spreading material up to 40'. The spreader chute is adjustable for either a pickup or flatbed body. Dual electric motors are sealed inside a weather-resistant cover.

Overall dimensions are 117" x 63" x 44". It weighs 660 lbs when empty.

When it comes to electric accessories, they simply connect into a hub on the back of the spreader with no extra wiring needed. These accessories include a pre-wet system, a license plate light kit, a vibrator kit, a strobe light kit, a work light kit and a secondary work light kit.

Dump and Work Light switches on the back of the spreader allow the operator to empty or fill the spreader safely. The work light switch gives the operator a second option for turning on and off an accessory light.

There is also an option of adding an inverted-V kit to reduce heavy drive-train start up loads.
