The OEM controller has the same buttons as their strait blade. The difference is that the wing out/in is at the top/bottom of the left and right angle buttons. The problem is that when you angle left/right, the wing out/in buttons often get pressed. Granted, with some getting used to, it can be overcome, but going from a strait blade controller to a V-blade, or Expanding controller is a real pain. The Storks controller has separate buttons for each function, and also has extra buttons for expanding/contracting both wings. The result is that the aftermarket controller is much more user friendly, and is better than the OEM controller by far. The Storks controller also has a couple features that can be set, one being a "double tap" for float. Pressing the down button a couple times quickly puts the plow into float. I highly recommend any SnowDogg plow owners to upgrade to the Storks controller. Summary: Easy & Secure mount to dash (one screw), LED back light buttons, Extra buttons for expand/contract both wings, Programmable feature for double tapping the down button to make it float. Less trouble actually finding the exact button for the function, (left/right, expand/contract). Nearly exact same price as OEM. and one of the best features is that it "times out" on all functions. If you aren't paying attention and are backing up, while holding the controller with your finger on the lift button, or any other button, it stops after a few seconds, so you don't continuously dead head your pump. My conclusion is that if you want to upgrade, or simply have a spare controller, you should purchase one of these for sure.
